The Steering Committee
All the societies and groups are split into different regions in the UK each represented by an elected steering committee member. With nearly 35 societies and groups scattered across the UK it is sometimes hard to keep up with all the wonderful things people are doing! The steering committee make sure that everyone in the office can keep track of this. They also feed into the national planning of the network and the wider Stop AIDS Campaign by attending strategy and campaign meetings often inLondon. We also have people to represent us within Medsin and UAEM UK.
Elections take place annually at our training event in October and are voted on within regions, apart from the Medsin and UAEM rep which are voted by everyone present. If you want to find out more about becoming a steering committee member in the future then email Kate.
